Originally very dark and badly laid out, this mews house has been radically transformed into a modernised series of light-filled spaces organised around a new central staircase. The spine of the staircase, characterised by floating timber treads and glass balustrade, not only physically links all three floors, it draws light from the long row of roof lights above to the spaces below.
